  1. I can’t help you with the title of that ditty, but it’s definitely familiar and very catchy and I’ve found myself singing it all THE TIME AND NOW MY FAMILY HAVE ALL LEFT ME AND THE KITCHEN IS ON FIRE AND HELP ME OH GOD MAKE IT STOP WOOPWOOP DOO DOO DOO DIDDLE IT DIDDLE IT DOO DOO DOO WOOPWOOP DOO DOO DOO DIDDLE IT DIDDLE IT DOO DOO DOO WOOPWOOP DOO DOO DOO DIDDLE IT DIDDLE IT DOO DOO DOO WOOP [MESSAGE ENDS]

    • Excellent work. I’ve never heard of that TV show, but I think it must have been on a cassette tape I had when I was a child, which was full of children’s songs and music, such as the aforementioned Billy Goat’s Gruff story/song. I shall induct you into the David’s Daily Digital Dollop Hall Of Fame. Don’t worry, you are free to leave and return whenever you like; I’ll give you your own set of keys.

      • Ooh I’m honoured! I’m not old enough to remember the original show either but it’s one of those ear-wormy tunes that crops up on countless CD compilations of British light classical stuff (like the one I’ve just dredged out of a cupboard – ‘The Great British Experience’), and as incidental music on BBC2-type documentaries. So, I did have an inkling of where to find it!
